Main responsibilities
The Logistics Operations Manager leads, organises and optimises all operations at a logistics site. He or she ensures operational performance, service quality, customer satisfaction and compliance with QHSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations management
– Organising and planning activities: receiving, storage, preparation, dispatch,
stocktaking- Optimising resources and flows according to activity-
Ensuring the reliability of physical and IT
flows- Monitoring performance indicators and implementing improvement plans
Team management
– Supervising and leading operational
teams- Organising work and allocating resources-
Setting objectives, assessing performance and developing skills-
Fostering a positive working environment and managing staff
Continuous improvement & compliance
– Ensuring compliance with QHSE standards and internal
procedures- Implementing continuous
improvement initiatives- Overseeing audits and regulatory checks
HR management
– Assisting with recruitment and onboarding of staff-
Monitoring absences, leave and scheduling-
Conducting annual reviews and supporting skills development
Financial & Performance Monitoring
– Monitor the budget and operating
costs- Analyse results and define corrective
actions- Check invoicing and financial indicators
Customer Relations
– Ensuring customer
satisfaction- Handling complaints and implementing corrective
measures- Building long-term relationships with customers
