A leading player in the contract logistics market, our client is a supply chain operator ranked amongst the largest companies in its sector in Europe and worldwide. Our client manages its clients’ supply chains and provides them with comprehensive solutions, drawing on its teams, infrastructure, processes and IT systems.
Our client is seeking a Freight Forwarder based in Oissel (76), who will report to the Head of the Freight Forwarding Unit or the Operations Manager/Director.
Responsibilities and activities
- Identify the best transport solutions for clients in accordance with the established specifications
- Negotiate purchase rates for subcontracted services and help optimise the charter margin, with a focus on optimisation and accountability for results
- Develop charter turnover and the portfolio of carriers
- Identify contractors to carry out the services and provide them with the necessary instructions, in accordance with regulations and the chartering policy
- Use the Group’s tools
- Develop the carrier portfolio
Client Liaison
- Receive client requests and monitor the service, keeping the client informed
- Offer high-quality, optimal solutions to clients in accordance with the terms of reference
- Ensure compliance with the client’s quality requirements when delivering services
- Provide clients with quotations in line with the pricing policy agreed with the branch manager. Follow up daily with clients who have not responded to quotations.
- Responsible for the administrative follow-up of their activities:
- Confirming charter arrangements and verifying the charter status Initiating and monitoring services via the Group’s system
- Monitor the KPIs for your activities on a daily basis (turnover, profit margin and number of transport orders) Produce and approve activity reports for your area of responsibility.
- Draw up the necessary action plans to optimise turnover and profit margin Record in the IT system any incidents that occur during the provision of services.
QHSE
- Implement and ensure compliance with the company’s STE (Total Stakeholder Satisfaction) and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policies.
Skills:
- Ability to handle regulated goods in accordance with specific requirements
- Knowledge of transport legislation and regulations
- Knowledge of the road haulage sector for full and part loads
- Knowledge of the freight forwarding sector
- Knowledge of incident management procedures
