Transport Operations Manager (M/F)
Permanent contract – Wittelsheim (68)
Your role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of transport operations to ensure an impeccable level of service for our industrial clients.
Acting as the orchestrator of operations, you will coordinate staff and equipment whilst ensuring compliance with quality commitments, deadlines and regulations.
Your main responsibilities
You will play an active role in organising and monitoring operations, taking charge in particular of:
- Planning and optimising dedicated routes and regular shuttle services.
- Operational monitoring of transport and handling of operational contingencies.
- Entering and managing routes in the management systems.
- Coordinating with drivers, subcontractors and customers.
- Forwarding administrative and operational documents.
- Compliance with transport social regulations (driving times, working hours and rest periods).
- Monitoring service quality and tracking operational indicators.
To ensure versatility, you may also be required to:
- Handling customer enquiries by telephone or email.
- Analysing requirements and proposing suitable transport solutions.
- Preparing quotations.
- Identifying, vetting and developing a network of partner carriers.
- Negotiating transport services.
The ideal candidate
You have a background in Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain and, ideally, some initial experience in transport operations, freight forwarding or supply chain management.
