In the role of
Transport Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for marketing transport services to new and existing clients in Northern Portugal (Porto), focusing on meeting your sales targets and identifying new business opportunities.

What you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis

  • Prospecting, identifying and independently developing new clients through reliable sources and cold calling, ensuring that sales and transport volume targets are met or exceeded.
  • Negotiating with existing and potential clients, ensuring profitable commercial terms and high levels of satisfaction.
  • Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of the sector, including rates, carriers, load capacities, types of equipment and other market specifics.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to secure the best commercial terms, including negotiating rates, identifying carriers and utilising specialised equipment.
  • Compliance with established procedures and protocols to ensure the integrity of shipments and the quality of the service provided.
  • Continuously updating internal tracking and reporting systems, ensuring the reliability of commercial and operational indicators.

What we are looking for

  • Higher education.
  • Relevant experience in a commercial role, preferably in business development and client management.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously, whilst remaining focused on identifying new business opportunities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, essential for understanding clients’ needs, presenting solutions and conducting effective negotiations.
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of English, enabling you to communicate with international clients, deliver presentations and participate in meetings with European teams.
