PACKAGING METHODS TECHNICIAN (M/F) 95

Your role

: As part of its expansion, our client is seeking a Packaging Methods Technician to strengthen its production team.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for handling customer enquiries, carrying out technical analyses and converting these into production specifications.

Acting as the key link between customers and the production floor, you will gather requirements, carry out initial cost estimates, prepare technical specifications and oversee orders through to production to ensure deadlines are met and customers are satisfied.

Your responsibilities

  • Receive customer enquiries and analyse their requirements.
  • Gather the necessary technical information (dimensions, constraints, product types, transport conditions, etc.).
  • Carry out an initial cost estimate in the ERP system in line with manufacturing methods.
  • Draw up quotations and monitor them until they are approved.
  • Produce conceptual packaging designs using simple drawing software.
  • Prepare technical files and issue production orders.
  • Coordinate with the Production Manager to plan production runs.
  • Monitor the progress of orders and ensure that agreed deadlines are met.
  • Answer customers’ queries throughout the processing of their orders.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methods for costing, preparing and organising files.

Required

profile

  • Two years’ higher education (Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Woodworking, Packaging, Production Methods, Logistics or equivalent).
  • 3 to 6 years’ experience in a technical role, methods, production preparation, technical quotations or scheduling.
  • Good ability to read drawings and understand technical constraints.
  • Proficiency with IT tools (ERP, Excel) and an interest in basic CAD software.
  • An interest in industrial environments and liaising with production teams.
