As part of the expansion of its logistics operations, our client is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager.
Acting as
a true partner to the teams on the ground, you will support operations through a continuous improvement process. You will help to optimise processes, enhance the performance of logistics sites and support transformation projects.
Your responsibilities
:
Continuous
Improvement
You will play an active role in rolling out the Lean culture across the site:
- Implementing continuous improvement standards.
- Leading Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, PDCA, VSM, etc.).
- Facilitate improvement initiatives with the teams.
- Train staff in new processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with operational standards.
Operational
performance
Working on the shop floor on a daily basis, you will support managers in improving performance by:
- Analysing operational issues.
- Identify ways to optimise processes.
- Design and implement new organisational structures.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Supporting changes to clients’ operations.
- Take part in the launch of new logistics projects.
Information Systems & WMS
Depending on the site’s requirements, you may also act as an IS Key User:
- Provide functional support to users.
- Train teams on business applications.
- Configuring workflows in the WMS.
- Take part in user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Carry out data extracts.
- Contribute to the roll-out of new applications.
- Monitor incidents in collaboration with the IT teams.
- Take part in the development of IT tools.
Project
management
You will also be involved in the site’s transformation projects:
- Drafting procedures and operating guidelines.
- Take part in working groups with the Operations, IT, Quality and Solutions teams.
- Ensure the quality of configuration and adherence to deployment schedules.
Your profile
Ideally, you will have initial experience (approximately 3 years, including work-study programmes) in one of the following areas:
- Logistics
- Operations
- Methods
- Continuous improvement
- Supply Chain
- Process
- Logistics Information Systems
You enjoy analytical work just as much as working on the ground alongside operational teams.
