our client is seeking a Transport Charterer (M/F) in Pau (64).
Reporting to the Chartering Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Responding to freight requests: receiving and analysing customer requests and assessing their feasibility, to quickly propose suitable transport solutions! And in the event of difficulties, proposing alternative solutions …
- Subcontracting: Selecting carriers and negotiating competitive rates, whilst building a genuine win-win partnership
- Operations monitoring: organising collection, transport and distribution operations, ensuring they run smoothly, and entering the details into the dedicated software
- Checking the compliance of freight booking documents (purchase/sale taxation, signature confirmation, etc.)
Profile:
- You hold a two-year higher education qualification in transport
- Your experience in chartering has enabled you to develop an interest in the world of transport,
- You are proficient in IT,
- Your business acumen, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, will enable you to build strong commercial relationships and partnerships
- Your adaptability will be key
- Your agility and attention to detail will also be highly valued.
