Our client is an international freight forwarder specialising in the transport of goods, with more than 70 offices and a network of over 120 offices.

DUTIES OF THE POSITION
The Freight Forwarding Sales Representative is responsible for attracting, developing and retaining import/export customers by sea and/or air, offering transport solutions tailored to customer needs. As a key player in development, they are responsible for prospecting, negotiating and coordinating with operational teams to ensure quality service in line with group standards.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
• Business development:
– Actively prospect and acquire new customers in the field of international transport (sea, air, road, etc.).
– Manage and develop an existing customer portfolio.
– Identify growth opportunities in the assigned territory and monitor the competition.
• Customer relationship management:
– Establish a weekly schedule of meetings and ensure regular reports to management.
– Get to know customers and prospects in order to propose customised transport solutions.
– Develop, negotiate and relaunch commercial offers, in conjunction with the operational and pricing teams.
• Management and coordination:
– Work closely with the Operations, Customs, Accounting and Product Support departments.
– Ensure that customer files are transferred to the operational teams after signing.
– Participate in defining local and national commercial strategy.
– Contribute to the implementation of specific commercial actions (campaigns, trade fairs, mailings).
• Administrative follow-up and tools:
– Fill in and keep the CRM (customer relationship management tool) up to date.
– Ensure compliance with commercial and administrative documents.
DESIRED PROFILE
Education:
– Degree in International Trade, Transport, Logistics or equivalent.
Experience:
– Minimum of 3 to 10 years' experience in the freight forwarding sector (sea and/or air).
– In-depth knowledge of the sector and the regional economic fabric. Technical
skills:
– Proficiency in office automation and CRM tools.
– Professional English (spoken and written).
