A leading player in the contract logistics market, our client is a supply chain operator ranked amongst the largest companies in its sector in Europe and worldwide. Our client manages its clients’ supply chains and provides them with comprehensive solutions, drawing on its teams, infrastructure, processes and information systems.
Our client is seeking a Freight Forwarder based in Orléans (45), who will report to the Freight Forwarding Manager or the Operations Manager/Director.
Responsibilities:
- To source and plan road transport operations in accordance with client requirements and current legislation
- Select transport providers best able to meet the defined criteria (client requirements, price, quality, reliability, lead times)
- Negotiate purchase rates with hauliers
- Optimise transport costs and lead times
- Manage relations with clients and suppliers
- Carry out various administrative tasks related to freight forwarding
- Check all transport-related documents
- Process and follow up on enquiries or claims
- Monitor market trends by analysing national and international client and carrier markets
- Inputting data into and monitoring tools for tracking and/or forecasting business activity (dashboards, statistics, indicators, etc.)
Education & experience:
- Higher education qualification in Supply Chain, Transport or International Trade (or other qualifications relevant to the role)
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role
Technical skills:
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of road transport regulations
- Proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel

- Team spirit and the ability to coordinate across departments
- A strong focus on safety and constant vigilance
